Tom Hiariej to Tottenham?

Tottenham are scouting Dutch under-21 defender Tom Hiariej, according to reports. The Groningen full-back excelled last year and is now on the radar of Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.

It is understood that Spurs could make a 2.5 million GBP offer for Hiariej if Alan Hutton, as expected, quits White Hart Lane for a move to Everton.

Hiariej was part of the Netherlands' side that took part in the under-21 championship that finished this summer.

Tottenham will also have to battle with PSV Eindhoven to land the player.
