Arsenal want Wenger till 2015
Arsenal managing director Keith Edelman has emphasised that there is no succession plan for boss Arsene Wenger. Edelman has said plans are being drawn up to keep the Frenchman on board till 2015.
âOur succession plan for Arsene Wenger is Arsene Wenger,â said Edelman. âWe want him to continue, he is doing a fantastic job. He is signed until 2011 which is a long, long way away.
âWe hope when we get to 2010, we will persuade him to sign up until 2014 or 2015. If he feels up to it, Iâm sure he will re-sign and bring us some more great football.
âIâd like him to stay longer [than 2015] but itâs a very, very tough job. It depends whether he physically and mentally wants to continue. I think it will be his last job in football management and, if he decides to stop, we would like to see if we can continue with him working with us in some role.â
