Liverpool to swap for Toure?

According to reports from Spain this morning, Barcelona are putting the final touches to a cash plus player deal for Javier Mascherano from Liverpool. It is understood Barca will offer £6 million plus Yaya Toure for the Argentina international.

Toure has fast become one of the best midfielders in Europe after a series of stunning displays for Barca since moving from Olympiakos.

Liverpool have been monitoring the Ivory Coast international for sometime, and with Barcelona's relentless push for Javier Mascherano unlikely to end this January, Benitez could be tempted to cash in on the player.
