Mikel Arteta to reject Man Utd

Reports that Manchester United will make a move for Mikel Arteta may not be too far wide of the mark; but the Spanish midfielder has insisted he has no intention of quitting Everton despite the interest of Sir Alex Ferguson.

According to a report, Arteta is one of Man Utd's summer transfer targets.

It is understood United are weighing up a 14 million GBP offer for the Spanish midfielder.

The Everton man, however, is very happy to remain at Goodison Park despite being flattered by the interest of the Reds.
