Aston Villa bid for Charlie Adam

Aston Villa are lining up Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam should the transfer of Ashley Young to Man Utd be completed as expected. Adam has been valued by Blackpool in the region of 11m GBP. Alex McLeish, the new boss of Aston Villa, is hoping to make Adam his first signing.

The Scottish midfielder has admitted he will be leaving Blackpool this summer after the club were relegated to the Championship.

Alex McLeish is hoping to tempt his fellow countryman to join his new club and will offer a bumper deal to ensure that a deal is completed.
