Newcastle end Loic Remy interest
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has ended his efforts to lure Loic Remy back to St James' Park for the upcoming season. The QPR striker spent last season on loan at the Toon Army.
Remy, who had been expected to join Liverpool on a permanent deal but then failed a medical, has been linked with a transfer back to Newcastle.
However, Pardew confirmed that despite his best efforts, Remy has shown no interest in a return to St James'.
"I think he's had plenty of chances to come to us," he said. "We made it very clear that we would like to have him and it hasn't really happened.
"So maybe that one has gone away, but like all transfers they're never, ever over, so we'll keep our finger on the pulse."
