Chelsea keeper Cech considers Premier League move
Chelsea's number two goalkeeper Petr Cech admitted this afternoon that he could make a shock transfer to another Premier League side. The return of Thibaut Courtois from his Atletico Madrid loan spell pushed Cech into the backup goalkeeping position.
Cech has been attracting the interest of a host of top European clubs; including that of Paris Saint Germain and Borussia Dortmund. So far, the Czech Republic international has remained loyal to the Blues. However, the goalkeeper has today for the first time admitted that he would like to stay in England and is also ready to quit Stamford Bridge in favour of more regular first team action. Jose Mourinho has ensured Thibaut Courtois that he will remain first choice 'keeper for the whole season.
Both West Ham and Queens Park Rangers are believed to have contacted Chelsea regarding Cech's availability. QPR manager Harry Redknapp has even contacted Cech personally, according to a report, in order to persuade the talented keeper to switch sides.
Cech told a reporter, who asked about potential Premier League moves: "I have not thought about that but I think it is possible. A lot of players are on international duty but still transfers have been made. I don't count on anything but, at the same time, can't rule out anything if there is an offer you can't refuse."
