Mikel Arteta provides key injury update on two Arsenal stars

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on two players ahead of the Premier League meeting against Brentford at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are currently in fantastic form in the English top-flight. They have won six games on the bounce with a stunning 31 goals scored.

The club will be eyeing a seventh consecutive league win on Saturday and they will be favourites to do so against a struggling Brentford team.

Ahead of the game, Arteta has revealed that his team are pretty positive that Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli will recover in time for the derby.

Saka was substituted at the half-time interval of the 6-0 win over Sheffield United. The winger was carrying an illness before kick-off itself.

Meanwhile, Martinelli suffered a minor cut on his left leg and he had to be replaced after the hour mark of the game at Bramall Lane.

Both players are now in contention to face the Bees at the Emirates. Martinelli may require a late fitness test before the game.
