Adebayor: Arsenal back in the race

Adebayor: Arsenal back in the race

After Arsenal battled to a superb 2-1 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Togo international striker Emmanuel Adebayor insisted that the Gunners are now well and truly back in the Premiership title race. The Gunners currently lie 7 points from the league leaders.

It took two sublime goals from van Persie profile'>Robin van Persie to defeat Chelsea at the Bridge, and now many feel that the Gunners have a real chance of returning back to the top of the table.

At the moment Arsenal find themselves too close to the likes of Hull City for comfort.

Now Adebayor thinks the Gunners are back in a decent position: "It is a very big win because we went through a lot of difficult moments and people wrote us off in the Premiership. Now this is a message that we have sent out.

"We believe in ourselves, we can do something. Forget about what happened - we are always together. We always believed we can do something and these are the kind of results we can show again.

"It would have been very difficult had we lost, but we would have never said the title was finished. We want to keep on going until the end of the season. We know we have a great team, a great squad, everyone is ready for it.

"Now everyone can see we have kept our title dreams alive and the more important thing now is to keep going.''
