Arsenal have ended their pursuit of Holland international midfielder Wesley Sneijder, after being unable to match the current salary the midfielder is earning at Inter Milan.
It is understood that the Gunners had made an ambitious approach for the Inter Milan star, however the approach was quickly rebuffed as Arsenal were unable to even match Sneijder's currently salary at the San Siro.
Arsenal have a very strict wage structure at the Emirates and Sneijder was already earning considerably more than that structure on his existing contract in Italy.
