Liverpool winger Stewart Downing hopes his new side can keep up their impressive start to the season and challenge for the Premier League title.

Since Kenny Dalglish took charge at Anfield, the Scot has completely reversed Liverpool's fortunes and brought in a host of top class players.



One of those is Stewart Downing, who believes that the Reds have a fantastic chance of developing as challengers in the league this year: "There is a feel good factor at Liverpool. We started the season very well but we've got a tough run of games coming up, starting with Stoke.



"But, if we keep playing the way we are at Liverpool, we've got a hell of a chance of being in the top bracket."
