Mancini tells Balotelli to be patient

Mancini tells Balotelli to be patient

14 September 2011 - 14:21

Man City manager Roberto Mancini has told Mario Balotelli to bide his time and wait for a chance to impress in the first team. The Italian striker currently plays as fourth choice striker at City.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Edin Dzeko, Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero have all made life difficult for Balotelli, who has already been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium.

Mancini told Balotelli to keep fighting for a first team place: ''I count myself very lucky to rely on four strikers, especially in a situation where the team needs to play every three days. I can have a good turnover of the strikers.

''For now Mario will have to adapt to the situation, he will not be playing for the next few matches.''
