Eden Hazard wants transfer

Eden Hazard wants transfer

31 October 2011 - 19:02

Lille winger and long time Arsenal target Eden Hazard has claimed that he would like to leave Lille at the end of the season and would prefer a move to the Premier League.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip

  •  Hazard has been linked to a number of clubs, with Arsenal, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and many other clubs willing to battle it out for his signature.

"I am ready to go to the next level at a big club," Hazard told French newspaper L'Equipe. "I won't leave in January. It would be silly to do so. But it's my last season at Lille.

"I stayed with Lille this year because I still had things to work on and prove. But now I'm ready. I feel able to play in another country."

However, Hazard made it clear that he had no intention of joining cash rich Paris Saint-Germain as he did not want to sign for a rival club.

"Paris is not for now," he added. "Paris is magical, as they say. Of course it attracts me. But for now, no, I will not go there.

"I do not want to go to a rival of Lille's in France. It would be inconsistent. The fans would not understand."

It is believed that any offers will have to be in the region of €35 million as his contract with Lille lasts till 2015.
