Newcastle manager Alan Pardew thinks that Dutch goalkeeper Tim Krul could be destined for big things, and could eventually be as good as former goalkeeper Shay Given.
Krul impressed at the weekend during Manchester United's 1-1 draw with the Toon at Old Trafford, and afterwards Pardew reserved special praise for the shot stopper.
Pardew said: "Krul has a long way to go. Shay Given was at the top of the tree for Newcastle for many years.
"Tim has a great future in front of him if he keeps his feet on the floor, works on his game. Who knows what he can achieve?"
