Real Madrid are set to make an audacious £15m offer for Lyon's talented Algerian striker Karim Benzema. The Lyon striker has continuously been with major clubs such as Inter Milan and Juventus, but has often reiterated his desire to stay at his hometown club and help them to win the UEFA Champions League.

  • Man Utd star preparing farewell video ahead of transfer
  • Benzema impressed for France in their weekend international games, and has 5 caps for the French team under Domenech and 3 goals.

19 year old Benzema was first called up to the national team by Raymond Domenech for an international friendly against Greece on November 15, 2006.
