Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is in discussions with club owner Mike Ashley regarding a transfer move for Canadian winger Junior Hoilett. Hoilett's contract expires with Blackburn at the end of the season.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • Blackburn had been locked in talks with Hoilett regarding a new contract for several months, but it appears that Hoilett has his heart set on a move away from Rovers.
Newcastle are lining up a 6m GBP offer for Hoilett, and are confident that they can persuade the winger to leave Ewood Park for St. James'.
Newcastle currently have winger Sylvain Marveux out through injury, whilst Hatem Ben Arfa is struggling to return to full fitness; and eyefootball understands that Hoilett is being lined up as an alternative.
