Queens Park Rangers ready Hleb offer

QPR manager Mark Hughes wants to give Belarus international midfielder Alexander Hleb a chance to prove his worth, as news reports suggest that Barcelona are ready to release the former Arsenal man on a free transfer this summer.

  • Hleb enjoyed a successful spell with Arsenal prior to completing a move to Barcelona in 2009, but has since failed to rediscover the form that made him a favourite at the Emirates Stadium.

Later on, loan spells at VfB Stuttgart and Birmingham City offered Hleb the chance to prove his worth again; but both times the attacking midfielder failed to impress his respective coaches to secure a permanent deal.

Barcelona are now ready to cut their losses on the player, who they signed for 15 million GBP two years ago.

Queens Park Rangers' Mark Hughes has been tracking Hleb this week, as the player's agent has reportedly contacted several Premier League clubs to offer his client's services.
