Arsenal receive Wilshere injury boost

Arsenal receive Wilshere injury boost

30 January 2012 - 06:37

Arsenal have received an injury boost after Arsene Wenger admitted that Jack Wilshere's injury setback is not as bad as first feared. Wilshere has not played a game for the Gunners this season due to injury.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • At first, it was feared that Wilshere would be out for the season. But it seems that Wenger is hopeful the England international could return in early March, and would be available for Euro 2012 this summer.

"We have no real news yet. The first news we have had is better than expected. He is not in a boot, but I don't know more," said the Arsenal boss.

"His morale looks quite good and I hope it will only be a short setback. There will be more tests this week."
