Fergie warns Spurs of imminent Redknapp approach

Fergie warns Spurs of imminent Redknapp approach

03 March 2012 - 13:56

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has warned Tottenham directors to expect an approach from the FA for England managerial favourite Harry Redknapp. The Spurs manager is expected to take over for the Euro 2012 tournament.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • England are on the look out for a new coach after Fabio Capello stepped down in February, and Harry Redknapp has been persistently linked with a move away from White Hart Lane.

"The people who will be more concerned are the Tottenham directors," Ferguson said. "I am sure they will be wondering what the next step is.

"I don't think they can dismiss the eventuality of the FA making contact. It is going to happen. They will be more worried than the actual players."
