Berbatov heading for Man Utd exit door

Berbatov heading for Man Utd exit door

19 March 2012 - 03:50

The agent of Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov has today confirmed that his client will be looking to leave Manchester United at the season. Paris St Germain have long been linked with a move for the former Spurs striker.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Berbatov has failed to force his way into the first team this year at Old Trafford, as Javier Hernandez and Wayne Rooney are the preferred options for Sir Alex Ferguson.

"I had three meetings with Alex Ferguson," Emil Danchev said.

"We should accept that he'll try to build a team for the next three or four years and Berbatov will not be part of this team.

"Ferguson wants to change the playing style, to implement more speed. I was pleased with United's position as they said they'll not oppose Berbatov's move in the summer.

"Dimitar will most probably leave England but he doesn't want to move to the U.S., Japan, United Arab Emirates or championships like these."
