Argentinian striker Fernando Cavenaghi is being linked with a move to Italy and Lazio are being pushed as potential suitors. In the 2004/2005 season Fernando joined Spartak Moscow for a fee of £6.5 million, but he joined Bordeaux last January for £7m.
Lazio have upped their offer for the striker to around £9m and are looking for replacements should Goran Pandev decide to leave the club. Pandev has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
The player is happy at Bordeaux, but several teams see Cavenaghi as their main target for January and a bidding battle could commence.
