Arsenal hot on starlet Acharaf Laazar

Arsenal have been linked with a move for African starlet Acharaf Laazar, a player dubbed "the new Gareth Bale". Club manager Arsene Wenger has been somewhat unhappy with the consistency of his current left backs, Kieron Gibbs and Andre Santos, this season.

Subsequently, the Gunners have turned to the transfer market again and could acquire Laazar for a fee of around 2.3 million Euros.<br />

His agent, Ali Barat, said of the transfer talk: "There&rsquo;s been a lot of interest from plenty of clubs from around Europe. He&rsquo;s very similar to Gareth Bale in terms of his pace and athleticism.&nbsp;<br />

"I think he will be a big player in the Premier League very soon."<br />

The 20 year old has yet to represent Morocco, but he holds dual nationality due to the Italian status of his mother.
