Manchester United have been linked with a move for centre back Kurt Zouma. The St Etienne star has been earmarked as a potential replacement for Rio Ferdinand, who is expected to drop down the pecking order at Old Trafford over the coming seasons.
Zouma has been a revelation in Ligue 1 so far, playing 27 games for Les Verts and scoring two goals since being promoted to the first team. The player has also made an appearance for the France under-19 side.
United have also been linked with a move for Ezequiel Garay of Benfica, but instead will turn their attentions to Zouma after receiving a muted response from the Portuguese side for their player.
£8 million is the figure being quoted for Zouma's services, as the Frenchman closes in on a fresh deal with the French side.
