Monaco chasing Chelsea captain John Terry

Big spending French club Monaco are ready to make an offer to Chelsea for club captain John Terry. The centre back has been told by Jose Mourinho that he will not be an automatic first choice under him next year.

  • Terry also found himself on the bench under Rafa Benitez more often than not during the last few months of the Spaniard's tenure, indicating that the Blues could well be ready to switch to a more youthful partnership of Branislav Ivanovic and David Luiz.<br />

    Monaco have already spent big this summer on the likes of Joao Moutinho and Radamel Falcao, the signing of John Terry would significantly bolster their defence for next season and their return to Ligue 1.
