Scott Parker on Sunderland wishlist

According to the Sunday Mirror, Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker is wanted by Sunderland. The England international midfielder has been told that he would be allowed to leave the club if a suitable offer is received.

With Spurs reportedly turning their attentions to a new central midfielder, and reportedly making an offer for Wigan's midfielder James McCarthy, Scott Parker has been told he is free to leave.<br />

Sunderland's manager Paolo Di Canio has a large transfer fund to spend on new players this summer. One stumbling block could be the&nbsp;&pound;6m Tottenham hope to recoup from the sale of Parker.&nbsp;<br />

Parker will turn 33 in October of this year.
