According to the Sunday Mirror, Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker is wanted by Sunderland. The England international midfielder has been told that he would be allowed to leave the club if a suitable offer is received.
With Spurs reportedly turning their attentions to a new central midfielder, and reportedly making an offer for Wigan's midfielder James McCarthy, Scott Parker has been told he is free to leave.<br />
Sunderland's manager Paolo Di Canio has a large transfer fund to spend on new players this summer. One stumbling block could be the £6m Tottenham hope to recoup from the sale of Parker. <br />
Parker will turn 33 in October of this year.
