Fabregas Denies Any Offers From Other Clubs

18 June 2013 - 13:49

Cesc Fabregas insists that he has not received any offers from any club to lure him away from Camp Nou. Fabregas has strongly been linked with reports indicating a Premier League return.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • The Spanish forward has had a difficult season with Barcelona and has been rumoured to be keen on linking up with his former team-mate from Arsenal - Robin van Persie - at Manchester United.

Amid all such reports, he, in his interview with Movistar revealed his desire to stay with Barcelona.

"People talk a lot but the truth is that no-one has spoken with me.

"I want to triumph in Barcelona, that club is my home and I always dreamed of playing there, so I will try and succeed there as long as I can."

With Neymar coming in to join Barcelona next season, Fabregas trusts in his talent to pump up his side's performance though he believes that the Brazilian should be given time to adapt himself to the new circumstances.

"Neymar will need time to adapt because he is coming from a completely different type of football from what he will find here. We need to help him settle in and grow so that he can give us great nights"

He brushes off the reports suggesting a possible ego clash between Messi and Neymar.

"The egos are very controlled in the team. Messi has won the Ballon d'Or four times and is probably the best player of all time but when you see him every morning he doesn't seem like it."

Fabregas also spoke on their arch-rivals, the Real Madrid, who are understood to be willing to spend about 100 million pounds to buy the Tottenham attacker Gareth Bale. According to Cesc, this move of Real Madrid is no less than an act of foolishness.

"For me spending 100million on Gareth Bale is foolish, I don't know how any club could spend that amount of money in these circumstances"

Fabregas added, "He is a great player with all the right attributes, but we will have to see if Madrid sign him and if he can perform there."
