Though the Gunners have been heavily linked with the signing of Real Madrid's Gonzalo Higuain , they could still strengthen their attack out wide as well. According to media reports in England, Arsene Wenger has interest in Lille winger Dimitri Payet.

Arsenal have been keenly monitoring the performances of Payet thanks to their scouting setup in France.<br />

The 26-year-old has been a constant performer for the Ligue 1 club last term and could add more attacking potential to the team.<br />

As inconsistent winger Gervinho could be sold this summer, adding Payet out in a wide position makes sense. He was impressive for Lille last season, scoring 12 goals and adding 13 assists in 38 league games.<br />

While Theo Walcott is firmly stationed on the right, Payet could either push Lukas Podolski on the left wing or even be utilized centrally. He would for certain give Wenger more options while moving forward.&nbsp;&nbsp;
