Pardew Willing To Stay At Newcastle

Pardew Willing To Stay At Newcastle

19 June 2013 - 17:45

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew confirms his allegiance to the club despite all the hullabaloo that has lately disturbed the St James’ Park.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Martin Keown praises complete Arsenal star after Bournemouth win

  • Pardew’s statement comes at a time when Joe Kinnear has been positioned above him as director of football and with managing director Derek Llambias having resigned from his post. Earlier Alan Pardew’s silence in the wake of things was deemed to be an indication to his discontentment at the decision of Mike Ashley, although it seems now that he is willing to make things work.

In his interview with the Newcastle chronicle, he says: "I'm staying - to take the club up the league."

Pardew has signed an eight-year contract in September, last year, as an incentive for leading the club into Premier League’s top five. The contract however dos not rule out the clause of an early exit.

Llambias’ departure, however seems to further unsettle things at St James’ Park and it will be interesting to see how things unfold at the Newcastle. Only time will tell, if or not the working pair of Pardew and chief scout Graham Carr could contrive to work out things with the fresh appointee.
