After weeks of waiting, Real Madrid have finally confirmed Carlo Ancelotti as the new coach for the club. Ancelotti will take up the vacant managerial position at the club, following the exit of former boss Jose Mourinho to Chelsea.

  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Ancelotti, former PSG coach, had long been linked with this position but the French giants, unable to find themselves a new coach to take over from him caused a holdup in the much talked about transfer. With Ancelotti leaving for the Spanish giants, Paris Saint-Germain were quick to announce former France coach, Laurent Blanc as their new manager.

“Real Madrid will present Carlo Ancelotti as new coach of the first team for the next three seasons on Wednesday June 26,” said the Real Madrid’s official website.

“The event will take place in the Santiago Bernabeu Royal Box at 13:00CET. Carlo Ancelotti will then appear before the media in the press room.”

Ancelotti will have to jump into action soon, with his foremost priority assigned to the pending transfer of Gonzalo Higuain, who is most likely to leave the club for Arsenal or Juventus, and trying to win the signature of Gareth Bale.

Ancelotti has previous coaching experiences with PSG, Chelsea, Juventus, AC Milan and others, achieving immense success in the form of Italian League, English Premier League and Champions League.
