Crystal Palace considering Jonjo Shelvey swoop

02 July 2013 - 11:22

Newly promoted Crystal Palace are pursuing a loan deal for Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey. The player has been told he is surplus to requirements by Anfield coach Brendan Rodgers.

  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Current Palace manager Ian Holloway already has experience managing Shelvey, having coached him during a two month loan spell at Blackpool back in 2011.<br />

Since arriving for £1.7m from Charlton two years ago, the player has struggled to oust Steven Gerrard and now Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool's first team, and is now eager to make a move for regular first team football.
