Newly promoted Crystal Palace are pursuing a loan deal for Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey. The player has been told he is surplus to requirements by Anfield coach Brendan Rodgers.
Current Palace manager Ian Holloway already has experience managing Shelvey, having coached him during a two month loan spell at Blackpool back in 2011.<br />
Since arriving for £1.7m from Charlton two years ago, the player has struggled to oust Steven Gerrard and now Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool's first team, and is now eager to make a move for regular first team football.
