Arsenal midfielder to be loaned out

Arsenal midfielder to be loaned out

05 July 2013 - 16:29

The Gunners are set to allow midfielder Francis Coquelin to move on a season-long loan deal to Bundesliga club SC Freiburg as per reports.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • The North London Club have so far allowed Andrey Arshavin, Sebastien Squillaci and Denilson to leave on a free while selling Vito Mannone to Sunderland and loaning out Johan Djourou.

Coquelin now seems to be the latest player who doesnot fit into the seam of things as manager Arsene Wenger’s attempts to clear up a part of the wage bill inorder to make offers for top class talents.

The versatile Frenchman, who has been used at full back in addition to his natural central midfielder role, has failed to show an impression on Wenger sufficiently to demand a starting role at Arsenal. Coquelin would now require to move clubs in order to make progress in his career as it is pretty much evident that Arsene Wenger isn’t going to give him a run in the first team at Arsenal.

Although he was originally compared with the likes of Fabregas, Coquelin failed to make the transition from a talented youngster to a first team regular, and that has resulted in him losing the confidence of the usually patient Arsene Wenger.
