Man Utd coach David Moyes hints at second Baines bid

06 July 2013 - 06:03

Manchester United manager David Moyes could make a renewed bid for Everton defender Leighton Baines. There had been some suggestion that part of the agreement of Moyes' move from Everton to United would be that the Premier League champions are not allowed to move for players currently at the Toffees'.

  • Chelsea to make renewed offer for Senegal star?
  • Confirmed Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Man City, Sesko left out
  • Since Moyes' move to Man Utd, his new club have been linked with a whole host of players but it appears that two stars at his former club Everton are high up his shortlist. Leighton Baines has been persistently linked with a move to Old Trafford whilst Marouane Fellaini is yet another big name who could eventually decide to leave Goodison Park for another Premier League team.

When reporters asked David Moyes if there is a gentleman's agreement in place between the two clubs that stops Moyes from signing his former players, Moyes said: "No, I don't think that's the case."

Chairman Bill Kenwright and David Moyes ended their working relationship last month on good terms, but the Everton chairman is believed to be furious that United are trying to sign their star player, Baines.
