Man City eye move for Pablo Osvaldo

Manchester City are reportedly interested in making a move for Roma striker Pablo Osvaldo, who is lined up as a replacement for the Argentine International Carlos Tevez who left for Serie A champions Juventus this summer.

  • The 27-year old has enjoyed an excellent campaign with Roma having scored an impressive 16 goals in 29 Serie A matches. The new Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is said to be a long term admirer of the Italian international, and is set to make a bid in the range of £15M to capture his signature.



    Osvaldo signed for  Roma from Spanish La Liga side Espanyol in 2011. Since his move, he has notched up 27 goals from 55 matches in the Serie A.



    There have also been reports that Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo is closing up on talks concerning his move to the Citizens this summer.His transfer is edging nearer to completion, and talks are expected to undergo between Sevilla and Manchester City’s representatives to confirm the deal in the next few days.
