The Madrid based newspaper, Marca, claims that Brazilian centre-back Thiago Silva is keen to leave Paris Saint-Germain in favour of joining the La Liga champions Barcelona.
Marca understands that Silva is desperate to move to the Camp Nou, despite his present owners PSG not willing to sell him at all. It has also been suggested by the reports that Barcelona man Dani Alves and Tito Vilanova have both personally asked the defender to sign for the club.
The Madrid newspaper also reports that the PSG man would have signed a contract with the Spanish club last summer but for his gentleman’s agreement with the club director Leonardo.
The PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has already announced his unwillingness to accept any bid for the player, who he believes to be a pillar of the team.
