Malouda To West Brom?

10 July 2013 - 21:14

Chelsea reject Florent Malouda could well be on his way to West Brom, following his former teammate Nicolas Anelka.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Malouda is available on a Bosman after having left Chelsea this summer. The Mirror suggests that the Baggies are ready to lure the 33-year-old to their club.

Malouda often featured with Nicolas Anelka for Chelsea, where he was the last signing of Jose Mourinho’s first reign. The Stamford Bridge paid the wideman £13.5million in 2007 but he made only one appearance last season under Rafa Benitez.

West Brom are looking to fill the void created by the departure of winger Jerome Thomas last month. Malouda could be the best man for the job. Anelka moved with the Baggies last week on a one year deal and it has been suggested that Clarke has shown interest in ex-Chelsea man Saloman Kalou.
