Several reports suggest that Arsenal could make a surprise move for Oman international goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi from Wigan. The keeper fell out of favour at Wigan last year and has been told he can leave on the cheap.
Wigan last year preferred Joel Robles in their finish to the Premier League season, leaving Al-Habsi out in the cold and supposedly eager for a move away from the Latics. Arsenal have now entered the race for a new goalkeeper and Arsene Wenger is a big fan of the shotstopper.
According to reports, the 31-year-old is available for a cut price fee of around £3 million, as Arsenal grow increasingly frustrated with the effort of their Polish goalkeeping duo, Wojciech Szczesny and Lukasz Fabianski.
