Arsenal to swoop for Ali Al-Habsi?

12 July 2013 - 15:54

Several reports suggest that Arsenal could make a surprise move for Oman international goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi from Wigan. The keeper fell out of favour at Wigan last year and has been told he can leave on the cheap.

  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Wigan last year preferred Joel Robles in their finish to the Premier League season, leaving Al-Habsi out in the cold and supposedly eager for a move away from the Latics. Arsenal have now entered the race for a new goalkeeper and Arsene Wenger is a big fan of the shotstopper.<br />

According to reports, the 31-year-old is available for a cut price fee of around £3 million, as Arsenal grow increasingly frustrated with the effort of their Polish goalkeeping duo, Wojciech Szczesny and Lukasz Fabianski.
