Manchester City Set Eyes on Zlatan Ibrahimovic

13 July 2013 - 06:18

Reports in France suggest Manchester City are reportedly all set to make a move for Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Ibrahimovic is believed to have fallen out with the newly appointed Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc and he seems intent on leaving the club.

  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • Ibrahimovic has also been given an extra 10 days off from pre-season training but it seems less likely that the Swedish ace will return for training on Thursday.

The former Barcelona ace is reportedly unhappy at the imminent arrival of Edinson Cavani to the club, who could join PSG anytime next week from Napoli. This has made Ibrahimovic open to a move away from the French capital.

The 31-year-old had asked his agent Mino Raiola to begin negotiations with Spanish club Real Madrid but new Real boss Carlo Ancelotti is believed to have disappointed the agent by telling him that he had agreed on a “no poaching” agreement with his former club.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini is in the search for more firepower for his attacking front, after having sold Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez. Europe’s lucky charm Zlatan Ibrahimovic seems the right choice.

“We have two strikers at the moment and we need another one. We need a stronger squad with two players in each position”, he said.
