Joey Barton will complete permanent Marseille move

Midfielder Joey Barton has reached an agreement with French club Marseille. The QPR-owned player spent last year in loan at the Ligue 1 side and had hoped to stay permanently.

After Marseille agreed a fee with Queens Park Rangers, believed to be in the region of about 500,000 Euros, Barton sat down and discussed personal terms with the French side.<br />

The two parties have agreed on personal terms and the Englishman will sign his full time contract at the Velodrome as soon as he returns from his summer vacation.
