Midfielder Joey Barton has reached an agreement with French club Marseille. The QPR-owned player spent last year in loan at the Ligue 1 side and had hoped to stay permanently.
After Marseille agreed a fee with Queens Park Rangers, believed to be in the region of about 500,000 Euros, Barton sat down and discussed personal terms with the French side.
The two parties have agreed on personal terms and the Englishman will sign his full time contract at the Velodrome as soon as he returns from his summer vacation.
