Tim Krul Snubs Arsenal

Tim Krul Snubs Arsenal

13 July 2013 - 15:47

Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul, who emerged as a surprise target for Arsenal recently, has reportedly snubbed the Gunners in favour of Newcastle. Krul insists that he will be fit to be a part of Newcastle’s campaign next season.

  • Tim Krul had been tracked by Arsene Wenger as the Gunners boss was prepared to make a £15million move for the Newcastle stopper. Wenger was reportedly keen on bringing in Krul, after having suffered disappointment in Simon Mignolet’s transfer case.

But it appears now that the 25-year-old is adamant on staying with his club and he is hopeful of starting the Magpies’ Premier League campaign. Arsenal was also monitoring QPR’s Julio Cesar, but QPR finds Cesar too valuable to part with.

The Dutch international has not been in regular action since surgery on a dislocated shoulder in April. He said,

“I will be fit for the first game of the season.

“I’ll try to get a couple of friendly games to get myself fully up to speed — and I’m right on schedule.”
