Pellegrini: expects a busy summer

Man City boss confirms more transfers on the way

15 July 2013 - 07:33

Manuel Pellegrini is nowhere near finished his transfer spending this summer. The new Manchester City coach has already secured the signings of Fernandinho and Jesus Navas, but the Chilean boss wants to bring in at least two more new faces.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo is amongst the names linked with a move to the Etihad, whilst Maicon, Scott Sinclair and Edin Dzeko could all be heading for the exit door.

Pellegrini expects to see some more new faces before the transfer window shuts in late August.

"We are not in a hurry to bring new players in but we are clear that we need two or three more before the season begins", he said. "It’s difficult to say a date for any new arrivals, but before July finishes I think we will have more players."
