Arsenal are interested in the signing of Brazilian wonderkid Bernard who enjoyed a season of great  progress while playing along with Ronaldinho for Atletico Mineiro.

His rise to prominence led to a call up from Luiz Felipe Scolari to the Brazilian national team where he impressed coming on as a substitute against Uruguay in Brazil&rsquo;s winning campaign in the FIFA 2013 Confederations Cup.<br />

The Daily Star reports that the North London club are interested in the Brazilian whizkid and want to make him their first big signing of the summer. Arsenal&rsquo;s North London rivals Tottenham were also interested in Bernard earlier this summer.<br />

Bernard, who is set to play the Copa Libertadores has given the indication that he is likely to leave his current club by suggesting that &ldquo; If it&rsquo;s my last game or not, it will be one of the most important titles in my career&rdquo;.<br />

If will be fascinating to see whether Wenger is willing to make a move for the player as the Gunners are already stacked with lots of talent in the attacking department.
