Liverpool enter race for Palermo player Josip Ilicic

24 July 2013 - 07:43

Slovenia's international midfielder Josip Ilicic will complete a move from Palermo this summer, but it is not yet understood whether or not Liverpool will win the race for his signature, but manager Brendan Rodgers is a huge fan of the 25-year-old.

  • The attacking midfielder, who has recently attracted the interest of Fiorentina, spent 3 years at Palermo scoring 20 goals in 97 games. Liverpool are ready to make a 13 million Euro bid for the 6 foot 3 player.<br />

An impressive return of 10 goals in 30 Serie A games last year saw a flurry of interest in the midfielder and Liverpool were favourites to secure the star, but nothing has been agreed as of yet.
