West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has been in regular contact with QPR manager Harry Redknapp regarding a potential move for striker Loic Remy. The French international, 26, has a release clause in his contract that allows him to talk to Premier League clubs.
Remy is said to have instructed his agent to help him find a new club, and several teams such as Sunderland and West Brom were monitoring the French forward.
It is understood that Marseille, his former club, also made an offer for the forward.
West Ham are in pole position though, after Sam Allardyce made contact with their London rivals QPR to complete a signing for the player.
