The Red Devils have switched their focus to Borussia Dortmund's star midfielder Ilkay Gundogan as their pursuit for Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas seems to have to come to an end, according to the Metro.

The Manchester United boss David Moyes has failed in his bid to lure Cesc Fabregas to the Premier League following a series of transfer offers rejected by the Catalan side.<br /><br />IIkay Gundogan who has been previously linked with Premier League clubs Chelsea and Arsenal is now earning interest from the Premier League champions Manchester United.<br /><br />The 22-year-old German International had a number of excellent performances in the Champions League last season as he drove his side to the finals where they went down to Bayern Munich.&nbsp;<br />

The signing on the Bundesliga midfield star IIkay Gundogan would provide the Red Devils the missing ingredient in their midfield.
