26 July 2013 - 09:44

Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre has reiterated the club's intentions of holding on to Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez despite interest from Arsenal.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • Ayre said, "It's never been our intention to sell Luis. We've received two separate offers from Arsenal and rejected both."
Earlier Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers had warned the striker of the consequences of leaving the Merseyside club.
Rodgers had insisted that Suarez should stay keeping his and the club's best interests in mind despite having conceded earlier that the South American might be allowed to leave if his valuation is met.
Arsenal are believed to be highly interested in the prolific goal scorer after missing out Gonzalo Higuain but it is unlikely that the Gunners will come back with a better offer after seeing their last get rejected.
