Arsenal set to make a third bid worth £42.5m for Luis Suarez

28 July 2013 - 14:19

The Gunners are set to make another bid for the talented Uruguayan International Luiz Suarez. The North London club are preparing a bid in the region of  £42.5m as they try to go all out for the talented striker.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Gabriel Magalhaes to sign new Arsenal deal

  • Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes the current offer would be enough to seal the move as the Emirates side want Luis Suarez to join the squad  before the Champions League play-offs resume.

Arsenal have placed the Uruguayan striker as their top priority since their move for Gonzalo Higuain came to a dramatic close. La Liga giants Real Madrid have cooled their interest on the player since Suarez had earlier indicated of his desire to move to the Emirates.

Arsenal had earlier made a bid of  £40m + £1 in an attempt to trigger the release clause in the striker's contract- a clause which never really existed as per reports from the Anfield side.

Wenger is also reportedly interested in another player from the Merseyside in the form of Everton’s Marouane Fellaini and will only consider starting the bidding process once the deal for Luiz Suarez is done.
