High spending Ligue 1 side AS Monaco sporting director Vadim Vasilyev has admitted that Manchester United have offered them Portuguese winger Nani but the club is still undecided on the player.
Speaking to French newspaper L’Equipe, he said: “He has been proposed to us. He is a very good player, but there have been no talks so far.
“We have already changed our group quite a bit and we also want to offer opportunities to our young players. We still have time to make a few alterations before the end of the transfer window, if needed.”'
David Moyes deems Nani as surplus to requirements at the club and is looking to offload him this summer rather than risk him losing for free a year later.
With the emergence of young wingers Wilfried Zaha and Jesse Lingard in the club's pre season, it is highly unlikely that the 26 year old will have much first team chances with the English champions.
Monaco manager Claudio Ranieri had earlier rubbished such claims and declared that the club are done with their buying this transfer window.
