Liverpool reject bid for Martin Skrtel

Liverpool have rejected a £10 million offer from Napoli for defender Martin Skrtel. Brendan Rodgers has told club representatives that Skrtel remains an important member of the first team this season.

With a long term injury concern to Sebastian Coates, Liverpool have decided to keep hold of Skrtel for the new campaign.&nbsp;<br />

Napoli manager Rafa Benitez is a huge fan of Skrtel, having originally signed him when Benitez managed Liverpool.<br />

The burly defender has also attracted the attention of Spanish giants Barcelona this summer.
