Manchester City captain out for a month

Manchester city captain Vincent Kompany will be sidelined for at least a month with a groin injury, after limping off during the second half of his side's 4-0 win against Newcastle United last week.

The Belgian will miss City's games against Stoke City, Cardiff City, Hull City and possibly the clash against City's rivals Manchester United.&nbsp;<br />

Pellegrini has defenders Joleon Lescott, Matija Nastasic and Micah Richards to call upon, though Nastasic has just returned to training this week following&nbsp;<br />

Kompany signed for Manchester city in the 2007-2008 season, and became captain at the beginning of the 2011/2012 season. He has 151 league appearances for the club with 7 goals to show for it.&nbsp;
