West Ham are considering a January transfer window bid for Porto's attacking midfielder Raul Meireles. Meireles has four caps for the Portuguese international side and is a regular for Porto's first team.
Raul Meireles is known for his fantastic passing skills and has been responsible for many of Porto's goals this season.
Porto value Raul Meireles in excess of £5m, but the persistent injury problems in West Ham's camp is one of the main reasons for the necessity of further additions to the squad.
Alan Curbishley has had nothing but positive feedback regarding Meireles from his scouts.
